The Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) is the worlds most common duck species and is found thru out North America.  Mallard hunting in Alaska is done from early September through December,  our early season mallard hunts are conducted in the lagoons and rivers of Bristol Bay where 8 other duck species, geese and brant are taken daily.  Our late season Mallard hunting is done in conjunction with sea duck hunts on Kodiak Island and Prince William Sound.
