Kodiak Island has been rated the number 3 duck hunting
destination in the US, and why not as Kodiak Island has such a diverse variety
of ducks. Sea ducks are the main reason that people travel to Kodiak Island
with upto 15 species availible including puddle duck s. The Japanese Current keeps this
area milder than the rest of Alaska and the bays ice free
most of the winter.

All our duck hunting on
Kodiak Island is based out of the main city of Kodiak on a 42 ft Custom
catamaran with Captain Mike of the FV Reel Fun with Aleutian Island Waterfowlers guiding each of the duck hunts.
We reccomend a 4-6 day hunt with 1 day hunting locally and 4-5 days staying on
the boat and hunting the remote western side of Kodiak Island. Kodiak Island Sea duck hunting for Harlequin, Old Squaw,
White Wing, Common, and Surf Scooters, Common and Barrows Goldeneyes,
take place
in the nutrient rich Ocean and Bays on
Kodiak Island.. Also a
large variety of puddle ducks inhabit Kodiak's
salt water lagoons and tidal ponds offering
world class duck hunting from
Nov 8 to January 22. We hunt over custom decoys from our Ron Bankes
layout boats, and Seaduck boats and from shore blind locations
to intercept the traveling ducks each day form kodiak Island to nearbye laggoons
.

Our Kodiak Island lodge/BB is located
15 miles from the airport and 5 minutes from
Kodiak city. This modern lodge/BB has
private bedrooms and private bathrooms along with all the amenities of
home Cable TV, Kitchen. We take a maximum of
4 guests per hunt and we reccomend
a 5 day hunt package, to provide personal care and
optimal hunting conditions for our
guest.
Breakfast and Dinner
aboard the boat are home cooked meals including fresh seafood,Salmon,
Halibut , Steaks, and Chicken. Lunches are packed
on the boat so that you can
bring them with you so
we do not loose valuable hunting time. Nothing beats a hot
shower and a relaxing cocktails after a long day of duck hunting.
