Alaska’s Izembek Lagoon near Cold Bay is a critical staging and wintering area for Black Brant. Nearly the entire world’s population of Black Brant stops to feed in September and October on the lagoons extensive eel grass beds. Eel grass is the most important food for Black Brant. Izembek Lagoon provides the best Black Brant hunting period. We have had 100% success on Black Brant every season that we have guided there. We will have these Brant decoying close for clean shots.
